We have a new calve that joined us about a month ago, The calf is happy and healthy. He has been eating well and wont be long till he gets to join his friends outside.

The piglets finally came. We have 6 piglets that are all happy and healthy

The other day we got our first set of quails!

We are bring in the new year at the farm with the cows. Luckily for us on the farm is has been a warm and snow-less winter so far. The animals seem to be enjoying the weather.

The chickens are making the best out of the cold, every day when i open the coop they always come flying out!

The animals seem to be enjoying the barn at night during this cold weather!

Over the past weekend we moved the pigs from their outside pen into a stall in the barn. With the weather dropping and the sun not being out nearly as much we did not want to risk the pigs getting cold or freezing. We also are able to hook up a heated water bowl so the pigs will have nice unfrozen water to drink. 

Over the past few weeks we have added a new pig area, its about twice the size that we have currently. The idea is that we will take the piglets (once they are old enough and its warm enough) and  put them in this new area. This is two fold, one reason we are doing this is because the pigs enjoy eating the grass and like the room to destroy the area. Another reason we want to separate the mom/dad from the piglets it so we do not have to worry about the bigger pigs bullying the younger pigs or not letting them eat. We currently do not have any pictures of  the new pig pasture, but we did move the cows into the side of the pasture with the pigs and have some pictures of them seeing each other and wondering what the heck each other are.
